"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." —John Lubbock
Spring is such a beautiful season. The temperature begins to rise, the birds return with sweet music, and nature begins to awaken. As I sit here and prepare for the busy photography season ahead, I have been reminded to rest. Simply, rest. For me that means creating something for myself, spending time alone, and leaving my schedule completely open. For others, that might mean taking a vacation or hanging out with a large group of friends, but for every personality, rest is a very beautiful thing.
This weekend, try to find it. Do yourself a favor and slow down for just a moment. Take a deep breathe, smell the wild air, and enjoy where you are.
You won't regret it.
