Janelle + Jaden | Walla Walla, WA Wedding

Preface: This might be the most special wedding I’ve ever been apart of so we’ll see if I can do it justice and keep the tears back as I type…

From the announcement of the engagement, we have been thrilled for Jaden + Janelle.

They are really close friends of ares and we’ve been huge fans of them from the very start, even before they began dating one another. We love them both so, so much so you can imagine how excited we were to get asked to capture their destination wedding in Walla Walla, WA where Janelle calls home.

As COVID-19 entered the scene, we all watched and prayed that their memorial weekend wedding would be just on the edge so they could have their dream wedding as they planned… 100 close friends and family gathered at a vineyard for a full weekend of festivities and memories.

But as the date got closer and closer, a plan B was made, then a plan C, and well let’s just say plans changed within one week of the big day so you can imagine the stress and anxiousness to just wanna get married.

Thankfully, even among all the changes, they were still able to make the trip out there and have both of their immediate families present for a full weekend at a gorgeous home in the heart of Walla Walla.

…And let me tell you, it was the most memorable, most emotional wedding weekend we’ve ever been apart of and we’re HUGE fans.

Upon our arrival Thursday, we held mini bachelor and bachelorette parties on Friday for some casual, relaxing time with everyone. It was so sweet to get to know the family and feel apart of the tribe. Everything was still closed, so we stayed close and enjoyed the gorgeous Boyer House with charcuterie, yard games, and wine of course.

Then came the big day…

With everything going on, every single person had a part to play making it all incredibly personal and genuine. While some traditions stayed, others were made for the first time. Janelle looked absolutely beautiful and Jaden as handsome as ever.

After a relaxing morning at home, we headed to the cathedral for their ceremony. We did a quick rehearsal together as the priest got ready with his mask, and coordinated the live piano music for the prelude. The pews were empty, but everyone’s hearts were overflowing.

Nothing else mattered in that moment, solely that Janelle + Jaden were officially married!

The rest of the evening was filled with Facetimes, drive by’s of friends, and celebratory food and drinks. We decorated the backyard with strung lights, outdoor heaters, and a table ready for king and queen. Thankfully the chef was able to prepare the food in the home, making for a wonderful private dining experience.

…And you can probably image how emotional the speeches were (thanks Natalie.)

Finally, the day ending with a dance underneath the lights on small patio. We cleared the furniture and made it our very own dance floor. Janelle and Jaden generously invited couple after couple to dance to their own wedding song, each getting their moment.

All in all, there’s so much more to say, but hopefully the photos speak for themselves. We are so grateful to have been apart of this weekend and hope to capture more intimate weddings in the future.

Congrats to Jaden + Janelle and thank you to everyone for making us feel like family.
